If you’ve never been to Aruba, and this is where you stay, be prepared to be spoiled. During my first visit to the island, I liked being fussed over, served breakfast, and being called “baby,” right Noud?
When I returned to Virginia, someone said, “Would you go back to Aruba again?” and my response is that I would return only if I stayed at Little David’s. I don’t know if the atmosphere is the same all year, but during our stay, we had wonderful housemates from Holland who we hung out with some (snorkeling, barbecue by the pool), and oddly enough, I became very attached to them. I was in tears when I had to say good-bye at the end of Carnavale, and I had only known them a week! I don’t know how to explain it – it was a special experience. Pauline and company – are you out there reading this? I’d love to hear from you. I already exchanged an email with Andrew from Buffalo just to say hello.
Noud and Francois were excellent hosts – from helping Rob with a flat tire on our rental Jeep to giving good advice on where to go and what to avoid to being fun people to hang out with around the pool and get to know a little bit. It was a comfortable, relaxing, and fun environment. It was hard saying good-bye that morning as we left for the airport. I hope to be back someday.
